Scandinavian IAL - Vörska/Veroese

Well folks, me and Hashi have decided it would be a nice idea to create an IAL based off the continental Scandinavian languages. The reason for choosing the continental Scandinavians as a base is that a sizable number of the current users know or are learning at least one of them.


This will be one of the ongoing Wikilang projects you will see taking shape.

Well okay. We really need this to be a mix of the languages in a way.

The swedish alphabet is more or less:
abcdefghijklmnoprstuvwxyåäö

The Danish and Norwegian are practically the same, 'cept they have ø instead of ö and æ instead of ä.

Which alphabets do people propose we use? We can use a mix of them, or completely revamp them. One idea I think we discussed the other day is removing diacritics in favour for diagraphs (something like ö - oe, ä - ae, å - ao) so that we can mark stress with another diacritic which I think is something the scadinavians need. The other option is to use ø and æ because you can actually put ´ on top to make ǿ and ǽ.

Softening:
k /k/ before é i í ú and ö becomes /ɕ/
g /g/ before é i í ú and ö becomes /j/

Edit:
In short:
o remains as in Swedish..
short u is as in Swedish..
long u is as long y in Swedish..
short ö remains /ø/ rather than being /œ/
