there is a topic for favorite latin letter, so I thought "why not have a favorite 漢字 topic?"
I think one of my all time favorites is 愛

I've been studying a lot of them lately and I have some new favs...

I do indeed like hide though, that's one of my new ones
I also like

条件 (both of these) 収 (and its related kanji that uses the hit radical, not as common in Japanese)

若 (just cuz it also means "if" and is pronounced "waka"  Coffee Grin )

these are just the first ones that come up off the top of my head at the moment

hehe that's the kanji that's used in the name of one of my fav anime
'cept in Japanese it's simplified using the "tongue" kanji

lol those ones are neat

oddly enough the ones I've gotten really into lately are the more obscure ones that aren't as common in Japanese... they're used more often as jinmeiyou or chinese grammatical particles

例:

「奈 于 无 於 爲 就 爾 茸 因 依 但 併 乃 曽 曾 逆 或 互 勿 従 概 該 既」等
