Ah, Estonian looks really nice, admit it, but I’ll have to say Finnish. Can’t disappoint the neighbours. Cute smile

This poll was lacking in like half the Finno-Ugric languages out there so I added a number of other ones that weren't listed.  As with that, I voted for the votes Big Grin

Finnish, but I'm only comparing it to Estonian and Hungarian, as I haven't looked at the others yet.
I'll vote when I'll be 18.

Finnish, because it's all about the orienteering, baby. Cool

Awesome Finnish orienteers whose pages I'm studying Finnish in order to read (among others):

http://www.vaajakoskentera.com/ikonen/

Finnish, because it sounds the most awesome. I really dislike the look and sound of Estonian because of the liberties it takes with voiced stops. I mean, come on, words ending with [d] and b? That's just plain ugly. It kinda looks like someone has chopped off the final vowels of Finnish words...

I think Finnish is a bit over-voweled. I've heard people pass the comment that Estonian has too many vowels, but then you put it next to Finnish and it's quite sane actually. However, I don't particularly like the look of final b myself, but d I have no problem with Smile

Well, the Finnish vowel system is very nice to the ear, I'd say. Not so nice to the tongue, though, when you encounter words consisting entirely of vowels... I couldn't pronounce if my life depended on it...

I think Estonian vowels are much nicer tbh. For a start yö/üö doesn't exist as a diphthong in Estonian, it's normally smoothed over to be öö. And who couldn't love diphthongs like äe, ea and õi?  Think

Is äe really pronounced like a diphthong? I guess my best rendition of it would be a monotonous groan...

Jag vägrar att hålla en akademisk diskussion på tema porr om du inte använder ett civiliserat språk.
